Everything old is new!
We're taking a Sunday break. It's May Day and IHC is busy dancing in Lilly of the Valley and enjoying a Spring Bacchanalia with warring factions of the Meyers Lake marina dispute.
In our absence, we offer you one of the greatest songs ever written. And certainly timely: Brother Can You Spare a Dime? We dedicate this video to this week's Village Idiot winners who think "it" can't happen to them.
It can!
BTW, this is the Big Crosby version, our favorite There are many versions, however, on YouTube. Al Jolson is surprisingly reserved, and Tom Waits seems too gruff even for him. We can't buy Barbra Streisand building a railroad no matter how good she sings about it. Unfortunately, the Tiny Tim version is not available.
