Village Idiot of the Day, June 27, 2011: Dave Sexton

We've been real tied up with end-of-the season tasks at our real-life job. We hope to be done by the end of the week. And no, I Hate Canton is not one of those deadbeat, over-paid union-sucking government workers Reppies so love to whinge over. Our end-of-the-year just happens to coincide with the state's.

We can't resist, taking a few moments, though, to post a new Village Idiot.

We knew when the Rep published the letter, How exactly would gay marriage harm the rest of our world? every nutter between here and Dalton on both sides would send in their two cents. If we had the time, we'd published a gaggle of these posts from people who think that all gays are atheistic Demos, Jesus preferred men, and the United States is on its last legs, due not to running 3-5 wars simultaneously, corporate bailouts, and globalist outsourcing, but because some men prefer the sexual company of other men.

No one, of course, has said a word against woman-on-woman sex. In fact, some of our most vehement queer bashers love to imagine women getting it on with each other, particulalry while they watch. As has been pointed out, if it doesn't involve men, then it can't be sex. Or as Bill Clinton put it more specifically, "I did not have sex with that woman." Unless sex involves a penis being stuck in where it belongs, it's not really sex.

So much for the unsexing of women.

Back on topic, IHC has been delighted with the response to the letter. In particular, the response of Dave Sexton. You remember him. Dave's the guy who chases johns and hos around with a video camera and bullhorn. (Go here for a free story; the Rep's "Chasing Hookers" story is in paid archives).

Now, it seems Dave not only has an aversion to commercial hetero sex sashaying through his neighborhood (well, we can't fault him much there; the least they could do is move it to a high end brothel in Jackson, away from his delicate video lens), but non-commercial male sex behind closed doors, or worse...the existence of same sex male afficiandos in general. Why Dave would rather leave the country, and even die, than have one of those guys touch him. Seriously.

Dave's suicide by queer threat though, is a possibility.

We can very well picture Dave being carried into the Aultman ER after being bonked in the head by a rock thrown by an angry crack whore who got fed up with his bullhorn--and then demanding the sexual credentials of all medical AND office personnel, just to guarantee that he won't be contaminated and can die, if necessary, pure of body.

Dare we suggest that Dave may have actually touched or been touched by a gay man at least once in his life? Surely, while collecting change, he must have touched hands with some gay Walmart clerk.

Certainly Dave has a right to his views on same sex marriage, but he's just a little too upset for comfort. Since Dave is willing to die for purity, we've found a special place in the afterlife for him: 24/7 male nurse porn videos made in the Czech Republic. Since I Hate Canton is family entertainment, however, we wont post links here.

Village Idiot of the Day: November 14, 2009: Linda Stevens, glock45

Obviously we've been away again. As we wrote earlier, it is becoming increasingly difficult to read the lumpen prolitariatisms emanating from Canton, Ohio. We trust that most of these commenters keep their mouths shut at work (if they have jobs), school, and the Elks. Or maybe class envy, racism, misogyny, illiteracy, classism, greed, and wacky Christian sectariaism is the normative ethic in Canton, and nobody notices. And we can't even blame fluoride in the water for it.

We've been perusing posts, clothespin on nose, and have been greatly amused at the reaction to the news that the old Ambassador Motel (we couldn't find a picture of the motel, so the picture at the right will have to do) is being turned into a transitional home for ex-cons. Now anyone who's been in Canton for more than 10 minutes knows that the Ambassador has been a whore and crack house for at least 30 years. In fact, IHC cant' even remember when it wasn't, and we've been around a lot more than 30 years. IHC may have been 9 years old and not understood the nuances, but we knew a seedy pit stop when we saw one.

It all started with the October 31 Housing Facility for Former Inmates to Open in Old Motel. Comments from the local locals--that is, those who pristine Ambassador Motel neighborhood is soon to be invaded by monitored cons, rather than the regular unmoderated junkie/trollop class, were axed. But our memory tells us, outside of the general doom and gloom keening, some complained that their property values had plummeted LAST year, even though the facility hasn't even opened yet THIS year.

Official lumpen reaction, however, comes from Linda Stevens, who in her letter, Former Inmates Have No Business Living in Residential Canton Twp. Neighborhood, vows to keep her neighborhood clean of convicted scum:

Why did the Rev. Kenneth Lancaster pick this neighborhood? Why not his? I believe I am speaking for all the residents of this area. First of all, there is a school eight-tenths of a mile from the motel. I thought convicted sexual predators can’t be around children within less than a mile. The staff will work with the inmates a few hours a day, and then most will go home and lay their heads to rest while we have to live in fear of our children and grandchildren being abducted or killed, vandalism and robbery. Where do the inmates get their money to go out? There is a pizza shop next door. How many times will it get robbed? There are bars down the road....

This won’t be the last that Rev. Lancaster and the Canton Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hear from us. Come on, Canton Township area, let’s fight. Express your opinion and we will do what we have to do.

We are not without a modicum of theoretical sympathy for Linda and glock, but where were they when the Ambassador was operating? We fail to see why rockheads and whores-run-wild are more acceptable neighbors than hand-selected, monitored ex-cons, and they don't tell us.

IHC's crack team of undercover intel agents has been unable to find the "pig" comment. Since the comment was removed before most people could read it, and referenced only by another poster, we can't re-post the original to verify. Ms. Parker's Letter to the Editor, Saying Obama's Supporters Want Messiah Insults Voters, God
chastising Reppies who refer to Barrack Obama sarcastically as "The Messiah." That's what brought it about. Ms. Parker was not being political. She was referring to the scriptural implications of such nonsensory. She, no doubt, would make the same criticism if libs and Dems baptized Sarah Palin, The Messiah.

Here is a portion of her letter:

Last week featured some of the most virulent racist comments in the Rep we've seen for some time under the thread, now shut down, Housing Units Get a 3-5M Upgrade. We have posted them, at length, in our Village Idiot of the Day award blog above this one.

First, though, we wanted you to read Mary Parker's response, followed by a comment from Don Cirelli, to these posts. They were made specifically in response to remarks posted by "Joe McPott" and his use of the code word "they" to refer to blacks:

When you and the others refer to 'they' you really mean the Blacks that make up the majority of the inhabitants of these low income projects. You don't want to come off being perceived as a racist, so rather than say 'The Blacks ' are the 'freeloaders', you just refer to them as 'they'.

Octopuppet twanged it's evil tentacles today, posting two vile attacks on Mary Parker and her deceased son. The remarks were removed, but we have archived them. They were posted under the hijacked name: "Marley Don Parker:" Marley Greiner, Don Cerelli, and of course, Ms. Parker.

The comments, heretofore, civil, lively, and informative, were shut down; thus, giving Octopuppet another victory.

We have struggled for a couple hours writing this blog. Our words simply fail. The words of the poster who has stalked Mary Parker for years on the Repository; however, speak for themselves. They are posted here as a public condemnation.

Unlike Mary, Octo has no friends or support. We would like to feel some sympathy for such a damaged, psychopathic soul, but we can't. We trust that "Marley Don Parker," "Levypassed Everyonegetsaraise," "Darryl and Shirley Reddling," "Darrell Parker," "MR Dede" and every other name that Octopuppet has requisioned or invented to harm Mary and her son who was incapable of hurting anyone, are consigned to a place where they will never see the light of day again.

Mary Parker has shown character and grace that few people would under similar circumstances. She wrote her thoughts on these attacks earlier, and they are worth reading again. In part:

My son suffered greatly here on earth. His entire life, from birth to death he was the object of ridicule. To now see him desecrated by ignorant writers in your newspaper is almost more than I can bear. When he died, I thought the snickering, the teasing, the crude remarks were over. Little did I know that people would be allowed to come on your comment section, almost daily, and still degrade him. I never dreamed that the Repository would be used as a vessel to taunt me about my son.

Name Calling Just Encourages Acts of Extremism
Homicides are horrible tragedies. But at least the families of these recent incidents are NOT flooding the message boards begging for sympathy and pity. They hold there heads high and move on, while grieving in private. They have class and should be respected by all.

Some of the regular posters on the rep should consider doing this themselves instead of the constant, day after day, week after week, month after month reminders of their loved ones passings.

One Trick Octo Makes Crazy Allegations; I Hate Canton Incites Public to Violence

Octopuppet is up to its old tricks again Not only has it racked up a week of unprecedented assaults against the Rep and its online readers, mainly through the Mammone murders and related stories, but it's accusing I Hate Canton of disrupting and "taking over the Canton rep." If so, we'd sure like a share of Rep revenue, and we'd love to have Charita Goshay and Tim Botos in our stable. Maybe Jeff Gauger could join us for an occasional guest blog on 'net civility.

Sunday morning, using the name "Sweet Kristin," Octopup accused I Hate Canton and respected long-time Rep commenters of "inciting hate and violence," making "violent threats" and carrying a vendetta against it--or somebody. The message is so disconnected and illiterate, it's hard to tell. I Hate Canton and associates are, according to it, a "vicious and dangerous group [that] should be looked at by local police."

I guess it told us!

I Hate Canton has made the big mistake in not archiving "Sweet Kristin's" past dollops to the Rep, though we did cite one the other day when she said she hoped the FBI would investigate Don Cirelli's "secret identity." One thing SweetK forgot: If Mr. Cirelli is posting under a "secret identity" then he is no different from dozens of other posters--including "Sweet Kristin"-- who post under "secret identities." If pseudonymously posting on a newspaper website is a federal crime, then, of course, it is most appropriate that the FBI investigate, if it already hasn't, "Sweet Kristin" and her entourage.

"Sweet Kristin" makes the odd claim that Cirelli's mother, former Ohio State Rep and current City Council member Mary Cirelli "controls" and "runs" I Hate Canton and is "slinging mud" at the Rep because she is jealous of do-nothing mayor Healy. As far as we know there is nothing to be jealous of Healy about, and Mrs. Cirelli gets along fine with the Rep. She also doesn't post on the Rep, so what she is really guilty of only her hairdresser knows for sure. Perhaps the FBI, when it is investigating Don Cirelli's "secret identity," can clear up the matter and take appropriate measures if mud is found on Mrs. Cirelli's Forzieris.

All this huffinpuff is rich, coming from a pseudonymous entity who posts under about 60 (known) names, and has accused commenters, public officials, and political candidates by name of theft in office, drug dealing, pedophilia, and lately inciting violence.

It is rich coming from a pseudonymous entity that has cruelly demeaned and degraded Mary Parker's dead child and used the murder of the Mammone children to fuel its little hate machine.

It is rich coming from a pseudonymous entity that has spread vicious gossip online about Rep reporter Gary Brown and an infrequent poster.

It is rich coming from a pseudonymous entity that has accused I Hate Canton of "terrorism" and "slander," and threatened to call the police on us.

It appears that our earlier suggestion that Octopuppet acquire a copy of Blacks' Law Dictionary to hone its legal knowledge has gone unheeded. Part of the problem with our City government is the vicious group of haters that have taken over the Canton rep, online posting. This web site was meant to be a place for concerned citizens to voice their opinion on issues reported. It has been disrupted by the I Hate Canton Group. This vicious and dangerous group should be looked at by local police. It is not just a blog but a blog that incites hate and violence. This site is controlled by mostly people who live outside the city who are led by one local politican and her son and his cohorts. They will go so far as to stage phony posts to get attention.

Recently a women who ran for council at large posted a violent comment recommending a 'blanket party be held' to beat up someone they have been brainwashed to believe make a comment that they did not.

There are ring leaders on the site that the Canton Rep continues to allow to post. Don Cirelli has been disgruntled and will do anything to bring down the Mayor. I hold them directly repsonsible if anyone is a victim of harm due to there web site. This Mary Parker/.Don Cirell group must be stopped. Truth be told, we are bored with Octopup's antics. They were tiresome in high school and they are tiresome now. So many real Canton characters and stories are much more fun.

We know some will disagree with us, but I Hate Canton believes that editor Gauger really wants to fix this mess. There is absolutely nothing in it for the Rep to keep this thing going. We look forward to the new comment system that may be coming and not soon enough. We also commiserate with Gauger and his drafted net nannies who are charged with dismantling the stink bombs Octo lobs at us all nearly every day. It's a dirty job trying to eradicate this vermin from the Internet, or at least the Repository's part of it.

I Hate Canton is not sure that ignoring Octo works, since if ignored, it just invents some more entities and sucks people into its sinkhole. Everybody, no matter what your politics are, when you spot an octopuppet making a really offensive ad hominem attack on a commenter, even if you don't like that commenter or what they say, flag it. Send a copy to Jeff Gauger and complain. Take back the marketplace of ideas offered by the Rep and return to lively, but civil discussion.

We think this translates into "you need to get laid." Since Concerned Father has been carping and kvetching about MRRD and its levy since before Carter invented his Little Liver Pills, we suggest that it's he who needs relief. Unfortunately, readers will just have to take our word for the comment. Just now we went back to cut and paste the exact quote and found the comments disabled and disappeared. Hey, Rep, no fair!

Our second place award today goes to Canton Bachelorette for putting 911 in it's place. In a discussion on the alleged slow 911 response time in the Eakins/Mammone murders, Ms Bachelorette wonders if the same lazy dispatcher who refused to send a squad car out immediately over her son's stolen bike, is the same dispatcher who who took the Eakins/Mammone call. That someone would call 911 over a stolen bike is alarming enough, but to prioritize the theft of a bike with the brutal murder of two children and their grandmother is well...just plain village idiocy.

Actually the 911 call IS on another site. Either fox news 8 or ABJ. I DID listen to it. I have to wonder if that dispatcher is the same one that told me that I should follow the thug home that stole my son's bike and then rode it past my house the next 3 nights. She pretty much told me that the police had better things to do. The dispatcher from the first 911 call in this matter sounded to me like she was annoyed that she actually had to take the call or do some work. The neighbor begs her to send an ambulance and she tells him that they just send a police car in this type of thing. I could hear the annoyance in her voice. I am not saying that this could have saved a life, but it is frustrating to hear.

Hi Jeff, I, like so many others, am just baffled, lost for words, when I see comments like those above, being allowed over and over into your comment section. Please try to imagine the feeling of a Mom, or even a Dad that loved their child so very much

I hope you never experience the pangs, the heartbreak of losing a child. Dealing with that has been a personal thing between me and God. No one, no matter how supportive, can put the pieces back together when your heart falls apart. Only my faith and belief in God, gives me the solace that can only come with knowing that my child is in a better place. He's shed the mental retardation now that limited him to a life of being non-verbal. He couldn't say "Bye Mom" as he boarded that big yellow MRDD bus every morning for over 40 years, or "What's for supper" when he disembarked that bus at the end of the day. He doesn't walk with that limp anymore. He doesn't have to crawl up the steps on all fours any more. He's whole again. No one in heaven will have to feed him. He can get that fork to his mouth all by himself now. He's no longer an MRDD client. They did a wonderful job with him for decades, but their job is over now. My job as Darry;'S caregiver is over.He doesn't need me any more, but my job here isn't over. I have worked for MRDD as a volunteer and advocate for over 40 years I can't desert them because Darryl has moved on. They still need me. The clients, like my children still need me to be a voice for them.

My son suffered greatly here on earth. His entire life, from birth to death he was the object of ridicule. To now see him desecrated by ignorant writers in your newspaper is almost more than I can bear. When he died, I thought the snickering, the teasing, the crude remarks were over. Little did I know that people would be allowed to come on your comment section, almost daily, and still degrade him. I never dreamed that the Repository would be used as a vessel to taunt me about my son.

To continually be hit in the face with comments talking about "how hot it is down here", or how deep he is buried in the ground. I know he's in heaven. I know he's telling me, "Don't shed anymore tears for me Mom, I'm okay." My daughter, who reads these comments daily when returning from her MRDD job, is constantly in tears these day. I try to reassure her about death, but one of your idiots comes along, and makes a stupid remark, which is all they're capable of, and it scares her. I don't want her to be afraid of dying.

You say you can't do anything about it, except remove it hours later, ONLY after one of my friends brings it to your attention. I can't believe it. How can you allow these same people to come on and make those ignorant remarks? YOU know who they are. You put your good writers, such as Denise, Linda, Leslie and Don, or a delayed 'thingamagig' that prevents them from making instant comments, you've had some on that system for months, which isn't fair, while you allow these stupid,ignorant people to rant and rave, and say things about my son, over and over again. The abuse of dead children continues to be a Rep Wrecker theme. We hesitate to classify these cheap shots as village idiocy. After all "idiocy" is generally a sign of abject cluelessness or purposeful ignorance. Using or attacking dead children to hurt posters, is simply evil.

I Hate Canton believes that psychic pedophiles should be held up to public ridicule and scorn. It would be even better, of course, if these deviants posted under their real names, so their neighbors and friends could know them for what they are and treat them appropriately. The vampires, of course, know this and would as soon ascribe their name to their demented comments as they would move to North Korea.

After deliberation, we have decided to forgo our Daily Village Idiot Award today, and once more focus on the continuing abuse of dead children.

What does I Hate Canton have to do with calling for the resignation of Canton Mayor William Healy? We don't know. But ottertk1 seems to.

After making a perfectly sound and agreeable observation about the Canton police and its handling of the two recent multiple murder cases, otter drags IHC into a cameo appearance, with no context. We don't mind making personal appearances, and we certainly can improvise, but we do like to be paid.

'Zero tolerance' from the mayor means that he will work with the police to ensure that officers are present in high crime areas. After that, it's up to the police and court system. It's my opinion that the police did an outstanding job in the last couple of multiple murder cases here in Canton. Now it's up to the justice system.

The mayor of Akron is having a recall election later this month. If the writer thinks that the mayor should step down, then he should start a recall petition. He'll then find out just how many other people agree with him.

As far as the I Hate Canton websites go, they are managed by one person who believes that only their opinion counts and anyone who differs is a clown. Pay no attention to these. These managers have a severe personality problem and need to seek professional help. When visiting these blogs, please keep in mind that the blogger isn't playing with a full deck of cards. I think it's very offensive to eat chicken and drink beer at the gravesite. What's wrong with flowers or even a small card? I think that littering the grave site with bones and empty OE800 cans is terrible. We deserve better.

I Hate Canton is still out of town visiting one of America's more-dangerous-than-the-Green Zone-sinkholes that dsteelman1 warned us about the other day. No one has lobbed a bomb or taken a potshot at us yet, but we'll be here for another 7 hours so there's still time.

Being here on business, we haven't had a lot of time to peruse the Repository, but this article caught our eye: Portage County Dispatcher Kills Daughter, Self , the tragic account of Melisa Hall, 29, a dispatcher for the Garrettsville-Freedom-Nelson Fire Department who killed her 2-year old daughter, Naysa, and then herself.

Now, any sane person feels only sadness about this case. Not so, with Octopuppet entity Big Al Carter, of course. "Big Al" (does the real Big Al Carter now is name is being taken in vain?) finds the murder of a toddler and suicide of her mother a great opportunity to attack Mary Parker (who she codes as MRDD due to Mary's involvement with it) and blame I Hate Canton for the deaths. We know! We know!

If Octo thinks this will garner support for it from anyone, even multiple awarded Village Idiots (real people, not the people who live inside its head), it's more gone than we thought.

Thank you for the abuse report. We will review the report and take appropriate action.

Although I don't see how the two could be connected, but do any of you think the passage of the MRDD levy had anything to do with this tragic situation. Or is it possible that this lady was a big fan of Canton and when she found out about the new hate filled Canton websites springing up on the internet, maybe she just went over the edge? I Hate Canton is not surprised that the Rep pulled all comments on the Rite Aid article. After all, the destruction of comment threads is the sole purpose of Octopuppet. That is its raison de entre, poor sad creature. We guess that it took so long for the Rep to take action because yesterday was Memorial Day and the paper was low-staffed.

WARNING TO REP: Octopuppet strikes when your defenses are weak. Man the ship on Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, Labor Day. and the Fourth of July. No day is too sacred for it to strike!

By the time I Hate Canton dragged itself out of bed this morning, we didn't find any new attacks. The Rep, in fact, had already run its sweep through the thread and removed nearly anything that either offended or mentioned IHC. Later in the day, all comments were nuked.

Apparently working under the belief that there is no such thing as bad publicity, Octopuppet, itself, posted IHC's link all over the Rep yesterday in an attempt to make IHC look like a blog whore. Let us assure you, dear readers, IHC has never and will never whore itself on the pages of the Rep. We leave that dubious distinction to the attention-craving Octo and its hydra pups. We're thrilled to get new readers, but don't want attention via Octopuppet.

We must admit amusement, though that Octo complained on the Rep that it is not allowed to post here. Imagine this, OC: I Hate Canton is a safe place. A place where those whom you have cyber bullied and abused and run off for years can post and share community. You can't reach your tentacles in here and destroy reputations and stir your pot of hate. We knew it was too quiet to last! But then we know that Octopuppet never sleeps!

Read 2 Million Jury Award to Strain Canton's Budget about the 2005 death by cop taser of the mentally disturbed Shawn Pirolozzi. $2 million is a lot of smackeroos, and we understand why some are upset about this US District Court decision, especially since the city doesn't have the money. The big story should be, of course, that the City of Canton had no liability coverage for police at the time of Pirolozzi's death. Naturally, that's not the discussion at hand. It's more of a Pirolozzi-got-what he-deserved-and-his-family-is-scum-and-so-is-anybody-who-disagrees-with-me kinda discussion.

I Hate Canton was particularly impressed with the assertion of male Octopuppet uber law abider, "Tom Dewey," (Canton could actually use a real-life Tom Dewey, but Octopuppet doesn't cut it) who has never met a person who's had a bad experience with the police--ever! But then, OP only knows well ordered, even tempered, polite, get alongs who wouldn't dream of running the speed limit in the middle of the night on a quick run to the No Tell Hotel.
